We had a ball making new friends at the recent Gluten Free Food And Allergy Show, and were asked countless times for Gerry’s Special Salsa Recipe which we were giving out with samples of our gluten free wraps, so here it is.
Gerry’s special salsa recipe is really easy to make and tastes amazing spread on our gluten-free tortillas before they are folded and heated until steaming in a sandwich press. The fragrant aroma is mouthwatering – try it!
Gerry’s Special Salsa Recipe
3 cups chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup red onion very finely chopped
1 small garlic clove crushed
1/4 cup minced fresh coriander
small splash white wine
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 handfuls roughly chopped fresh coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Mix together. Can be left a few hours to marinate but this is really very tasty eaten straightaway!
Fold your wrap in half or make a sandwich using another wrap (great to do with the smaller Corn Star wraps), and heat in your sandwich press until steaming.
Eat – yum!
